The Geometry of Insomnia
Unable to sleep,
I watch my love on
her back,
breath so shallow
the covers scarcely move.
As gentle snores decamp from
her aquiline nose,
instead of counting
sheep,
I work to calculate
the hypotenuse
of its prominent bridge.
